Description

24/192 Master SchoepsMK41CMC6xt Flacs 09/15/11 (Thu) Mexicali Live - Teaneck, NJ

Set 1: Rocky Road Blues, Henry, Where I Come From, Big Six, Blues Barrel, Louisiana Lady, Whatcha Gonna Do, Higher, I Don’t Know You, Down For The Ride, 17 Pine Avenue, Six Of One

Set 2: Dead Flowers, Contract, Kick It On Down, That’s All, Last Lonely Eagle, Diamond Joe, Gypsy Cowboy, Deep Elem Blues, Lonesome LA Cowboy, Groupie, E: Glendale Train

Lineup: David Nelson - guitar, vocals
Buddy Cage - pedal steel
Michael Falzarano - guitar, vocals
Johnny Markowski - drums, vocals
Ronnie Penque - bass, vocals

I recorded with 2 pairs of mikes that night, 2 AkgCK69 with 480 bases, and 2 Scheops MK41 with CMC6xt bases. The Akgs sound less distant, have better tonal balance and sounds a little clearer with a little less room noise. The Scheops have more country twang and sound a little more like an audience recording. But have more room noise and sound more distant.
